Urgent Need for Prayer Warriors!!!

My dear Prayer Warriors,

I know I ask for many prayer request from each of you and I know it can be burdensome at times to pray for some many; however, I feel that God would not direct the needs of others for prayers in my path if I were not to reach out and pray for them. I also feel He is calling me to ask my fellow Prayer Warriors to do the same. With that said, I would like to ask you to pray for Teena.

She is a middle-aged woman who has recently been diagnosed with invasive cervical cancer that is not operable at this time.

I receive this prayer request from my friend, Dawn. Dawn is very close to this child of God. Dawn in an email told me the following,"she is a kind and gentle spirit. She is also very private and most likely feels the worst part of her illness is that she has to put people out that want to help her."

Dawn also mentioned that Teena has bore many crosses throughout her life since childhood into her adulthood. She has spent most of her life taking care of others and this has left very little time for her to care for herself.

She has in the past 6-8 months lost her husband and her baby grandson. Dawn states that despite her losses she has a very strong faith in God.

She is currently she is receiving chemotherapy to shrink or contain her tumors.

I ask if you can, please spread the word so that other can pray for Teena as well.
Thank you so much and blessed be God Forever!!

Prayer request for my dad!!

Please keep my dad, Jerry in your prayers.
He recently has found out that he has COPD. He will be having a CAT Scan done soon to further exam a questionable chest x-ray he had the other night in the ER.
Please offer up a "Hail Mary" for him. I know your prayers will bring him much comfort, as well as comfort to my mom and my family. Thank you my dear prayer warriors for your prayers for my dad in advanced. We have stormed heaven many, many times for those in need of our prayers so I am confident that storming heaven now will be well worth the effort.

I will keep you posted on how things go with my dad.

Oh, my mom could use a few prayers as well. She is having an ultrasound done and a follow up mammogram after having a mammogram done already. We are confident it is nothing to be concerned about, but a few prayers would not hurt the situation as well.

Blessed be God Forever!

Don't forget your rosary!

Kelsey is an 11 year old child. She has spinal cancer and this is her second battle with cancer; this time being a different type of cancer. Please pray for Mary Lou, Florence and John all three suffering from cancer.

Thank Sr. Mary Chris for letting me know about these children of God needing our prayers. You can count on the prayer warriors who visit this site to storm heaven for them.

Please keep us updated Sr. Mary Chris on how they are doing.

Omnipotent and eternal God, the everlasting Salvation of those who believe, hear us on behalf of Thy sick servants,Kelsey, Mary Lou Florence, and John for whom we beg the aid of Thy pitying mercy, that, with his bodily health restored, he may give thanks to Thee in Thy church. Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him all creatures here below,
Praise Him above ye heavenly host,
Praise Father, Son, & Holy Ghost!!!

Tonight, we must send praise out to Our Lord for hearing our prayers in regards to Theresa.

Mary Lou has emailed me with this wonderful update that her scans and every other test have come back cancer free.

This means she will still have chemo and radiation to make sure no microscopic cancer cells are floating around in her body.

Thank you all for your prayers for her!

This is another demonstration of how God is listening and the strong power of prayer!

Please, please, please continue to pray for Theresa as she goes through chemo/radiation.

She will need our prayers to help her be strong and full of hope.

She will need us to walk beside her in this journey as her prayer warriors.

Thank you and please say a prayer of thanksgiving to God for this wonderful news!!

Blessed be God Forever!

Prayers for Elaine!

St. Peregrine

Please pray for Elaine who has recently been told she has breast cancer. She will have surgery on June 25th.
Please join me in praying for her and for all those who are sick especially those suffering with cancer.
St. Peregrine is the Patron Saint of Cancer Patients and he must be feeling like he is working over time lately with all the news about those being told they have cancer.
Let us all pray today for Elaine, Theresa, Melissa, little Ella, and all those who are sick by saying the rosary for them.
Our Lady will be more than happy to help us; we just need to call upon her.

A Prayer to St. Peregrine for One Suffering from Cancer

Dear St. Peregrine,
I need your help.
I feel so uncertain of my life right now.
This serious illness makes me long for a sign of God's love.
Help me to imitate your enduring faith when you faced the ugliness of cancer and surgery.
Allow me to trust the Lord the way you did in this moment of distress.
I want to be cured, but right now I ask God for the strength to bear the cross in my life.
I seek the power to proclaim God's presence in my life despite the hardship, anguish and fear I now experience.
O Glorious St. Peregrine, be an inspiration to me and petitioner of those needed
graces from our loving Father.

Amen.

Cancer is limited ...
It cannot cripple love, It cannot shatter hope, It cannot corrode faith, It cannot eat away peace, It cannot destroy confidence, It cannot shut out memories It cannot silence courage, It cannot invade the soul, It cannot reduce eternal life, It cannot quench the spirit, It cannot lessen the power of the Resurrection.
Here is the link to the American Cancer Society's information about breast cancer:
It seems appropriate at this time to encourage all women to do self-breast exams.
This is also the link on how to do self breast exams.
There are so many to pray for and so many things to ask God for; do not become discouraged. He is there to hear us and to help us.
Blessed be God Forever!

Please pray for one of God's little ones!!

My cousin, Mary has brought to my attention little Emily. She is four years old. In fact, she is only 2 days younger than my Lucy. She has sickle cell anemia.
Please see this link to learn more about sickle cell anemia.
I ask each of you to keep her in your prayers as she battles and as she lives with this disease.
From what I have read about her, she is not only a brave little girl, but also very strong and courageous.
She has the most adorable eyes and a smile so bright it would light up a room instantly.
I thank Mary for bringing this prayer need to my attention!
I will keep you updated on her condition as I hear more!!
For my Catholic friends, please say a "Hail Mary" for her. Our Lady is there to intercede for us and will do so with our asking!
Blessed be God forever!

Please pray for Theresa, a young mom with bilateral breat cancer!!!

Prayers for Theresa

Theresa has been diagnosed with bilateral (meaning both breasts) breast cancer.

At 36 weeks pregnant with her first child, she received devastating news that she had breast cancer in both breasts. The whirlwind began with a three day long failed induction @ aprrox 37 weeks pregnant and eventually ended a c-section delivery of her beautiful son!(see picture of Theresa and her son above)

Due to having a c-section, her bilateral mastectomy was postponed for a couple of weeks. In the meantime, she will be having scans/MRIs/x-rays of every major organ in her body and blood testing to see if the disease has moved to other parts.

She is going to begin chemo and radiation treatments within the next few weeks as well.

I would like to ask all of you reading my blog to pray for Theresa and her family as they begin the journey of battling this disease. Remember that God hears our prayers and if we can storm heaven with prayers for Theresa then what peace she and her family have while going through this hard time. St. Paul reminds u: We can and should 'pray constantly' (1thes. 5:17).

Prayer for Women with Breast Cancer
Father, for the strength you have given me I thank you. For the health you have blessed me with, I thank you. For the women who are going through breast cancer and their families I ask you to strengthen and to heal as you see fit. Lord we know you want us to be in good health and to prosper. Lord use us to do the work you have for us to do. For we know time is getting short on this earth. Lord be with every woman who is sick and encourage them as only you can. I know how faithful you are. You have shown yourself to be everything you say you are in your Holy Word. I praise you for you made this body and you can heal this body.
I will keep you updated on Theresa as I hear from her friends in regards to how things are going for her.
We are praying for you Theresa! We are there to let you know we care!
Blessed be God Forever!!
For my Catholic friends, offering your rosary up today for Theresa would be a wonderful gift for her.
Thank you!

Prayer Request

As most of you know, my blog's main purpose it so spread prayer requests since I feel that the power of prayer is so important in each of our lives.

Please add Merrily Harrison to your prayer list. She is a dear friend's mother. She had a tumor removed from her arm and it was found to be malignant. Thank God it was caught early and is only staged at grade one. She will have surgery next Wednesday. She is seeing an oncologist.

It was so beautiful to hear from her daughter that her faith is strong and that she is at peace with all of this.

Please keep Merrily and her family in your prayers and I will keep you updated!

Prayer for the Sick

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

My mom sent this to me. A sad story, please add Ella and her family to your prayers.

On Sunday, April 27th, Ella Newmiller and her family attended church at Edenton Street United Methodist, in Raleigh, as they do each week. Ella did not feel well that evening. Her parents, Renae and Mark, took her to an urgent care facility. On Monday, they found themselves at UNC Hospitals, being faced with the news that their precious daughter has an inoperable brain tumor. It is located at the base of her brain, inside the brain stem.

Friday, May 2nd, was Ella's 5th birthday. Friends at Edenton Street pulled together an amazing celebration for 'Princess Ella'. She arrived in a horse drawn carriage and was greeted by over 100 friends dressed in their royal best. 'Mr. and Miss Wolf' from NC State, plus 'Stormy', from the Carolina Hurricanes joined in the celebration. There was a DJ, beauty queens, bubbles, balloons and presents.

Ella's mother, Renae, commented, 'We don't need meals or errands. The only thing we really need is PRAYER.' Renae asked me to tell friends, 'even if they don't know Ella', to please pray. She asked that those friends ask 10 friends (even if they don't know the Newmillers) to pray. So, I am asking you to pray daily for Ella Newmiller, for the oncologists and physicians directing her care, for her parents, Renae and Mark, and for her brother Jack (2nd grade). Pray for God's healing hand. Pray for both direction and comfort for Ella's family. Also pray for strength and courage for Ella. Additionally, if you feel led, please forward this prayer request to friends.

I am attaching a photo of Ella from Friday's 5th birthday celebration. If you would like updates on Ella, please log onto her care page at http://www.carepages.com/ , under Ella Newmiller. There are simple prompts to help you log on. Thanks~

If you have prayer requests or stories to share regarding those who are sick and in need of many prayers, please email me at pburke002@rochester.rr.com and will be so grateful to put them on this site!
